It is essential to understand that we all have an identity. But what is that identity made up of? Beliefs? Attitudes? Experiences? Biology? and so much more…. Sometimes we find our identity in Jesus, or a label, or from another person.
It can be quite confusing. The problem is this; all of life flow out of your identity. Your identity determines how you think, feel and act. Your identity paves the way for what kind of life you will have, or at least how you will handle the circumstances of life.
Every identity is in search of satisfaction, hope, and strength. Some are good at selling a bill of goods that it cannot deliver. Only an identity found in Jesus will last, and satisfy the soul.
But how do we get there? It starts with understanding what is identity, and why it matters.
