Essential Identity begins that journey we all need to go on to understand better what it means to be human and created by a creator.
Essential Identity is a starting point to grasp what an identity is and dabbles into the effects of identity on the person. This study takes nine studies and slowly builds up a proper understanding of what an identity is and prepares us for the next step of considering how God will speak into this critical issue in our lives.
The underlying belief is that our lives flow out of what we perceive and believe about identity. As human beings, we can identify as parents, as Christians, as emotions, as experiences, etc. We could even choose to identify as a rock, definitely not what God desires for us.
What you can expect with this study:
After about three years of study and research, I offer you my definition of identity. This definition is universal, yet in the end, it will point us to God through Jesus Christ!
Essential Identity breaks down the definition of identity phrase by phrase and explains its impact on the human soul.
Each section is eight pages long, and it may take you a day, a week, or longer to get through a section.
You will need to go through this multiple times to grasp the full effect of the information. This study challenges you with quotes from wise authors, science, psychology, and especially scripture!
